I am writing to you to express how much the CK procedure changed my life.
All my life I had 20/20 vision. Until I reached 42, then suddenly I couldn’t read so clearly, or read menus in restaurants. I persevered with this for about a year, but then went to an ophthalmologist to check my eyesight.
I was told that I needed glasses for reading, something I never thought I would need. I started to get used to them, and while reading a book, or newspaper at home no problem, but when I was out I often forgot my glasses, so I would have terrible problems reading menus, theater programs etc. This made me feel very old; I remember others always asking me to read things to them as they could not see, now it was me.
Dr. Kagan, then I found you. You told me the CK procedure was relatively new, but I was excited to try. I really felt that this would help my whole self-esteem.
Well, after you performed this procedure at the beginning of this year, I have never looked back. I can go out without my glasses, and read menus, see the numbers on my cell phone to make calls, it really has made me, lets say “liberated”.
